Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Valley High School, home of the Grizzlies!
California Model Continuation High School

Hello Valley High School students and families!

I am the newest Valley High School Grizzly. I am proud to be joining a team of educators who work every day to bring the school’s motto to life – “Learning for all, Whatever it takes.”

I’ve had the opportunity to meet several staff and students this summer. (Thank you, Grizzlies for the warm welcome!) I am impressed by the level of pride, spirit, and commitment present at Valley High School. In my short time here, I can already see why Valley High School is a Model Continuation High School: It is truly a terrific place to learn and grow.

I have also been impressed by the number of programs and extracurricular activities available to our students: athletics (basketball, soccer, flag football), AVID, art, Career Technical Education, after school programs. I am proud to see staff come together to make available such a rich number of extracurricular programs to students. Thank you! I encourage all students to take advantage of these great opportunities.

As an educator, I believe in the power of the school-student-family connection. I have witnessed over and over how a strong connection between the school and the family, centered on providing the best supports for students (academic, behavioral, social-emotional), allows students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Our goal at Valley High School is to prepare ALL students for college and career. Families, I look forward to your continued involvement and support.

In the next few days, I would like to meet as many Valley High School students and families as possible. Please stop by to say hello.

I look forward to serving as your principal!

Take care all,

Jose A. Espinoza
